By choosing to shop local, support American farmers through food banks and churches, and prioritize meaningful giving over commercial excess, we reclaim the holiday season as a time of genuine community care and economic resilience.

What Freedom Christmas Means
Freedom Christmas is a coordinated economic action during the 2025 holiday season (November-December) where participants commit to:
- Boycotting major online retail platforms (Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, etc.)
- Reducing overall gift-giving expenditures by 30-50%
- Redirecting saved money to churches, food banks, and agricultural support organizations
- Prioritizing local brick-and-mortar businesses for necessary purchases
- Supporting American farmers affected by trade policies
Inclusive Winter Holiday Engagement
While named "Freedom Christmas," this movement welcomes and honors all winter celebrations:
- "Freedom Season" as an alternative umbrella term
- Hanukkah participants: "Eight Nights of Local Light" - supporting neighborhood businesses each night
- Kwanzaa observers: Aligning with Ujamaa (cooperative economics) and Ujima (collective work and responsibility)
- Secular celebrants: "Community First Holidays" - emphasizing civic responsibility
- Other traditions: All are invited to participate in the spirit of community economic empowerment
